Issue: USB Storage (Pen drive or Memory cards) or USB Data Cards not detected properly in Windows 7 PCs
Concern: Unwanted tool bars gave this effect and not a Antivirus or Virus concern.
Solution:
1. Uninstall all the installed toolbars, Especially Movies Toolbar.
2. Run ADW cleaner from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/
3. Run CCleaner fromhttp://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/download/9b1e6f13b088a999cc52fe78176bb586/
4. Uninstall all the USB Devices from MyComputer – Properties - Device Manager – USB Controllers.
5. Check with Pen drive or Data card, if not detected then uninstall Antivirus with Uninstall Tool.
6. Again check the same, if not detected then Start Windows update manually from Start – RUN – Services.msc
7. Then Go to Control Panel – Windows Update – Click – Check for updates.
After 15 minutes stop the updates and again uninstall USB Devices from Device Manager - Properties. Restart the PC. Check with Pen drive and Data card will working fine.
Issue: Some Websites are not open in Wired Broadband (BSNL, Airtel) connection like yahoomail; gmail; rediffmail; webmail.gooddeal.co.in; www.irctc.co.in...
Concern: MTU Size to be changed in Broadband Router - WAN Setup
Solution:
Netgear - Login into Router - WAN Setup - MTU Size (in bytes) change to 1420 (default 1492)
Dlink - Login into Router -WAN Service - EDIT - enable manual MTU Set - 1420

Go to - Start – Run – gpedit.msc
Computer Configuration – Administrative Templates – System – System Restore
Change the Value to Disabled - Turn Off system Restore & Turn Off Configuration

4.Windows Installer Repair
Start -- RUN --- msiexec.exe /unregister; msiexec.exe /regserver
(or) Delete msiexec.exe (C:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe) with Icesword tooland install Windows Installer 4.5.
5. OS Boot Problem - Partition Missing (C Drive) - Unable to boot into OS(WinXP), OS Partion only Missing other partions are available .
Boot with Windows XP Bootable CD.
Go to First Repair. Go to command prompt
run - chkdsk command. After fixing the error, sometimes OS Booting properly.
6. Generic Host & Print Spooler issue after upgrade Windows XP Service Pack 3.
After installing SP3 and facing Generic host issue, then go to SP2 Machine open system32 folder copy three file
1. wzcdlg.dll, wscsvc.dll, wzcsvc.dll
After that go to SP3 Machine start in safe mode with command prompt of boot via rescue CD and replace all three file then problem may be solve…..

7. TDL4@MBR code has been found (GMER ). - Master Boot Record (MBR) was modified by virus.

Solution:
A) Boot with K7 Total Security (NST) CD. Type RESCUE and ENTER
B) Cancel K7 Antivirus Scanning
C) Open Terminal and type the below command.
sudo ms-sys -m /dev/sda (or) sudo ms-sys --mbr /dev/sda1 (windows xp was installed on sda1)

A) Boot with Windows Live CD (Hiren Boot, Bart PE)
B) Open Command Prompt and type the below Command.

1. Open Microsoft Management Console by clicking the Start button
, typing mmc into the Search box, and then pressing ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.


2. In the left pane, click Local Users and Groups.
If you don't see Local Users and Groups, it's probably because that snap-in has not been added to Microsoft Management Console. Follow these steps to install it:
a. In Microsoft Management Console, click the File menu, and then click Add/Remove Snap-in.

d. Click OK.
